I used this to charge a nitecore NB 10000 for 900 miles on the Pacific Northwest Trail and 800 miles on the Arizona trail. My unit survived fairly hard use on both trails, and still works, though the wires started to pull out in the last 100 miles of the AZT, so I would replace it before another thru. Typically it rides on my backpack all day, and I set it up facing the sun during breaks. In full sunlight, it easily keeps up with my daily power use (usually about 50% of my phone).
I've found that clouds and air pollution and forest canopy all dramatically reduce output, and I only get 5% to 10% charge, which is not unexpected, but still not nothing. Sometimes the panel gets dirty, and dust can be hard to wipe out of the divots, but a toothbrush and water takes care of it and brings output back to full. Charging a phone directly can work in full sunlight, but if the power output drops due to clouds or movement or whatever, your phone may wake up and turn on the screen and complain, which uses more power than the panel generates, so it's pretty much only useful for charging powerbanks. I think this will be true for any small solar panel.
Overall, I'm very happy with it. It weighs six ounces, which is more than the Lixada panel, but the build quality is way better. It was durable enough to survive some very hard hiking (the blow downs and rain on the PNT are real!), and carrying it meant I never needed to worry about finding a power outlet in town.
